Bella is an enthusiastic and driven saxophonist and teacher.
Bella completed her Bachelor of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2018, and is now pursuing a Masters of Music (performance teaching) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. During her studies, Bella has learned the clarinet and piano alongside her main instrument - the saxophone.
Although a classically trained saxophonist, Bella has always been passionate about jazz. She has completed AMEB classical saxophone exams, and Trinity College London jazz exams, both up to 8th grade. Moreover, she has a clear understanding of the standard and repertoire involved in these exams.
During Bella’s studies, she has had a number of career highlights. These include playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and the Porretta Soul Festival in Italy, along with numerous other jazz and soul festivals across Europe and Australia.
Bella understands that music is a profound method of personal expression. She encourages her students to find their own sound and style of playing, and will always encourage students’ creativity, guiding them to become a confident, accomplished and innovative performer.
